Apply Smart Binding Rules to Headcount Summing
Smart Binding is a concept in LYNX that ensures that only crosslisted sections that have overlapping times and the same location assignment (or lack of a location assignment) are bound together automatically. This feature request is to apply the same logic to summing headcounts (if this configuration setting is selected). This would ensure that only the meeting patterns that are bound would have their headcounts summed, which would be especially useful for sections with smaller breakout meetings.

Monique WilsonRevising this feature would allow cross-listed sections, with multiple meeting patterns, to be assigned rooms based on the cross-listed (like) meeting pattern(s). In other words, if four course sections that have 25 max enrollment each have a common meeting pattern and a seperate break out session, Smart Binding would identify the like/common meeting pattern and assign a room for 100. The break-out sessions would be assigned rooms for 25. This eliminates a lot of manual work after the fact and, therefore, a more seamless room run.
