Duplicative Final Exam Event Import-Combined Sections
Adjust the way final exam events are generated upon import for combined sections such that there is only one final exam event per associated class section. Currently 25Live is generating a final exam event per class section per occurrence with all occurrences represented within each final exam event. This is unnecessary, confusing, and duplicative in nature. See screenshot example.

Wes H (CollegeNET) Admin MergedThe exam creation results page shows what exam will be created for a class, but does not show the meeting pattern. If a class has multiple meeting patterns the user wants to make sure that the right one is making the exam.

Pamela MasonIt should definitely only create one Exam per course. It would be nice if there was a way on MMP courses to determine which one was used for the final Exam Generator. We have some we can do this with be cause one meeting pattern is the and the other is a lecture and we exclude the lab types from the exam generator. However we have some classes that there is no way to do this we have to actually look at the meeting patterns to determine which one to use. I think there should be a screen in LYNX to work with these. It would show all Courses it could not create an Exam for because more than one would be created based on the Exam creation criteria. You could select which on you wanted it to create.

Pamela Mason MergedWe have courses that are MMP for the Lectures. This is because there are multiple locations needed for the same same meeting pattern or because when the Section meets varies enough it cannot be done in one meeting patterns.
An option that after excluding meeting pattern types if there are still more than 1 meeting pattern use the one with the most occurrences, would help with some of these Sections.
An option to use Schedule Code on MMP Sections that allows us to set which meeting pattern in Banner to use for the Exam creation. It should work along in conjunction with the Meeting Pattern Type exclusion.
On a Final Exam Data Set have a screen to work with MMP Sections. It would show all of the Sections and their Meeting Patterns that would create multiple Exams. Then allow you to select the Meeting Pattern you want it to use for the Exam creation. -

Pamela MasonAfter COVID we now have a further complicate for this. We have hybrid classes where it should have two exams, one for online and another for the in person people. However, sometimes the in person portion has multiple meeting patterns because they might be in different rooms at different parts of the semester. For those the in person meeting patterns only one should get a final. In our case this is usually the meeting pattern with the most occurrences.
